Can I get an MOT before it expires?
Yes. If you have 30 days or less on your current MOT certificate, provide J R Motors with your current certificate and these days will be added onto your new MOT.

What do I need to do before the test?
· Check that all the seats are clear for the tester to check the seatbelts.
· Bring old certificate with you
· If the vehicle is diesel, please bring service book for tester to check the last time the timing belt was replaced.
What documentation do I get from an MOT?
Pass = VT20 MOT test certificate
Fail = VT30 Refusal of an MOT test certificate
Advice = VT32 Advisory Notice
What happens if my vehicle fails its MOT?
You will receive a VT30 and can get the MOT repairs completed at J R Motors.
If the vehicle is left at the test station for repairs and is retested before the end of 10 working days, then only a partial retest is needed for which no fee may be charged.
If the vehicle is removed from the test station for repairs and returned for retest within 10 working days, then only a partial retest is needed and a partial retest fee of £26 will be charged.
